About Me
Hi. I'm Cassandra LaFauci and I am the creator of Charcuterie For Occasions. I recently graduated from Salem State University and have been a registered nurse for over a year now. A lot of my time is spent in a high stress environment so when I am not working I enjoy tapping into my creative self. I am Italian, so naturally food is a passion of mine. Cooking and preparing food is one of the ultimate ways I express my love to my family and friends.
Another passion of mine is connecting with others. As a nurse I meet people from different walks of life on a daily basis. It is really fulfilling to meet a stranger and have the opportunity to connect on a deeper level. Charcuterie for Occasions was created as a means for me to combine both of my passions.
I believe cheese boards are one of the best ways to bring people together. Anytime there is a communal gathering, cheese platters are almost always a staple to the party. Not only are they delicious but creating these boards is a therapeutic experience. It's like painting--except with cheese. You carefully select what flavors you want, and when it comes together it's so beautiful and vibrant every time.
I want to share my passions with as many people as I can. This is more than just cheese--it's an experience.
How it started…
I have always had a love for great food and trying new things. Charcuterie board making was a perfect way for me to get creative with food and learn more about pairing flavors together. The first time I saw a charcuterie board I was captivated by all of the beautiful colors and textures. At this moment I knew I wanted to attempt to craft my own. To me the whole process of creating a board is exciting. Starting with finding inspiration, shopping for the items, organizing everything and of course eating it! Charcuterie boards are so much more that just an appetizer— it’s a conversation starter, a centerpiece, and even a beautiful picture. I know my boards will bring just as much joy to you as they do for me.
